For me technical photography comes naturally, but then I am a programmer. Art photography is something else all together. Something I admire and something I struggle to achieve.
In 1998 I sold my last darkroom and moved entirely, though some what reluctantly, over to digital. Digital photography has given us something we have never had before: The ability to see the results immediately. If we are not happy we can adjust, re-shoot, and learn.
However I think my greatest photographic achievement was to encourage Miho Turner to get started. Miho’s eye is amazing; she went on to study with the New York Institute of Photography, and today she regularly holds exhibitions in Japan.
